Board approves Win Waste modification; nicotine rule delayed six months

STOUGHTON — Board of Health approves Win Waste minor modification after months of legal review. The Stoughton Board of Health unanimously approved a minor site-assignment modification for Win Waste Innovations at 100 Page Street on April 30, allowing conversion of 150 tons per day of construction and demolition waste to municipal solid waste. Chair Andrew Tibbs and members Ellen Epro, Michael Varner, Michael Taylor, and Janet Crimmins adopted an attorney-drafted conditions document incorporating 18 special conditions from a February 26 public hearing.
In other business, the board tabled a proposed nicotine-product sales restriction for six months, voting 3-2, after deliberation about whether banning all nicotine products was appropriate when vaping appeared to be the primary youth-use concern.
