Stoughton Board of Health holds reopened hearing on nicotine-free generation policy. The board, chaired by Andrew Tibbs with Michael Varner, Michael Taylor, and Janet Crimmins present, heard testimony from residents, convenience store owners, and public health advocates over more than two hours. Public health supporters cited data showing 10 percent of Stoughton High School students have vaped nicotine, with a 77 percent decrease in vaping since 2019.
Industry representatives and residents warned of business impact and potential black market effects. The board voted unanimously to close the hearing and deferred deliberation on the proposed regulation to late April or early May 2026.
