Board of Health · Meeting of January 22, 2026

Stoughton Board of Health approves Hampton Inn lifeguard variance and extends health facility permits. The Board unanimously approved a lifeguard variance for Hampton Inn at 445 Page Street, allowing the pool to operate under specified surveillance and safety conditions with at least one adult present. The Board also unanimously approved a tiered extension for Blue Hills Health & Rehab at 1044 Park Street, granting 30 days for engineering permits, 60 days for onsite preparations, and 90 days to begin sewer-connection work.

The facility has been pumping its system while awaiting the permit. The Board deferred action on a draft tobacco-sales regulation, scheduling a March public hearing to receive additional input after a December hearing.
