Charter Review Committee explains April ballot measures to voters

Stoughton Charter Review Committee met to explain four charter amendments scheduled for the April ballot. Chair Amy Puliafico walked residents through the changes, which clarify Town Meeting terms, streamline the Organizational Meeting format, adjust provisions governing attendees, and clarify the Finance Committee's nine-year term limit. The Attorney General initially questioned the Town Meeting term clarification but approved the changes.
The committee scheduled April 13 to discuss standardized quorum definitions with invited committee chairs, and June for addressing preliminary elections and other voting procedures.
