Commission secures state funding for accessibility work at Ames Pond and Senior Center

Stoughton Disabilities Commission secures state grant approval for Ames Pond and Senior Center accessibility projects. Chair Charlotte Mullen and Vice Chair Anne Maderer, meeting with member Michael Hardman, approved two grants submitted to the Mass. Office on Disabilities by ADA Coordinator Pamela McCarthy.
The grants, both reimbursement-based and due by June 30, fund a beach wheelchair and accessibility mats for Ames Pond and modifications to the Senior Center. Mullen will contact the Mass. Office on Disabilities to arrange a speaker about state services and resources.
