Committee Accelerates Community Center Exterior Work for 300th Anniversary

STOUGHTON — Committee votes to accelerate Community Center renovation for 300th Anniversary. The Community Preservation Committee voted 7-0 to shift the $985,000 exterior project from fiscal 2027 to fiscal 2026, enabling completion before the June 13th celebration. Superintendent of Public Works Paul Giffune said the acceleration requires approval at a Special Town Meeting on March 2.

The committee also recommended $4.3 million in new Community Preservation Act projects for the May Annual Town Meeting, marking its largest recommendation to town meeting. ===END BRIEF===
