Community Preservation Committee (CPC) · Meeting of April 22, 2026

Stoughton's Community Preservation Committee closed out the Stoughton Motel Conversion project following April move-in of 22 of 24 subsidized apartments. The $16 million development, supported with $250,000 from the CPC, will add all 24 units to the town's Subsidized Housing Inventory once fully occupied. The committee also approved $600 for public hearing advertising and extended the Community Center historic preservation restriction deadline to June 30, 2027.

Three other CPA-funded projects are nearing completion: the Marks Field renovation should be ready this summer for recreational use and next spring for lacrosse, the Glen Echo pavilion installation is scheduled within two weeks, and the Hansen School Playground is expected complete by month end. The committee met with the Old Colony Planning Council to discuss updating the town's Open Space and Recreation Plan.
