Energy and Sustainability Committee discusses decarbonization grant, building code.

Energy & Sustainability Committee · Meeting of February 5, 2026

STOUGHTON — The Energy and Sustainability Committee advanced plans for a Specialized Building Code article and negotiated the scope of a DOER Decarbonization Roadmap grant. Chair David Billo and members Nathan Cleveland, Molly Cochran, and Arthur Rigor De Eva, Jr. met with Town Energy Manager Kathy Stanley and Green Communities Regional Coordinator Lisa Sullivan to discuss how consultant ICF's data requests could be narrowed; the committee determined Stanley would confer with ICF on priorities rather than undertaking a full building inventory. The committee also confirmed that the Select Board approved its Specialized Building Code warrant article and partnered with the Metropolitan Area Planning Council for public education materials and presentations ahead of a town meeting vote.
