Energy & Sustainability Committee approves prior minutes, advances Specialized Energy Code.

Energy & Sustainability Committee · Meeting of March 5, 2026

STOUGHTON — Energy & Sustainability Committee moves forward on Specialized Energy Code. Chairman David Billo presented a refined PowerPoint for a March 9 public hearing before the Municipal Regulations Committee, with the full committee offering edits emphasizing the Code as a step toward Climate Leader certification. Nathan Cleveland reported that ZeroCarbon-MA and the Green Communities consultant PDS have agreed to support outreach.

On the DOER Decarbonization Roadmap, concerns over requested data were addressed after confirmation that existing utility audits and Mass Energy Insight would cover consultant needs. An April 9 information session for Town Meeting members is scheduled at the library.
