STOUGHTON — Finance Committee approves routine AFTC expenses, tables broader policy vote. Chair Carolyn Campbell and 12 members unanimously approved the $300 annual Massachusetts Association of Town Finance Committees membership and a separate unanimous $65 payment for member Johna Rosenblatt's attendance at the October 2025 AFTC conference. The committee tabled a vote on the town's Collins Center-generated financial policies after member Rosenblatt moved to withhold approval pending receipt of the original Collins Center document and comparative model policies; the motion carried without opposition.
A Special Town Meeting is scheduled for March 2, 2026, to address VNA dissolution, a $3 million transfer from the high school construction budget to South School Elementary Funds, and Community Preservation Committee funding for a Senior Citizen Building facility.
