STOUGHTON — Finance Committee continues May town meeting hearings to March 18. Chair Carolyn Campbell and 15 members heard presentations on the fiscal year 2027 operating budget, including a 2.2% increase for the Town Manager office, expanded legal services through counsel Brian Winner and Katie Fedeoroff, and Veterans' Affairs spending of $160,000 in benefits. The committee advanced motions to continue both the Annual and Special Town Meeting hearings, scheduled for May 4, to allow further review of operating and capital articles, including a collective bargaining agreement for the Stoughton Professional and Administrators Employees Association with proposed cost-of-living adjustments ranging from 2.5% to 2.9% across three fiscal years.
