Finance Committee continues hearings on two May town meetings.

STOUGHTON — Finance Committee unanimously continued public hearings for the May 4 Annual Town Meeting and Special Town Meeting, moving the next session to March 5. Chair Carolyn Campbell and the committee reviewed FY2027 operating budgets from Superintendent Paul Giffune, whose Department of Public Works budget increased 2.6 percent, below the town's 2.9 percent target, while the committee approved a Special Town Meeting adjustment raising the FY25 snow and ice budget from $400,000 to $1,250,000 from free cash. Separately, Cedar Hill golf course reported $728,000 in FY25 revenue and requested capital funding for irrigation improvements, a pump station, and security upgrades.
