Library Trustees · Meeting of May 19, 2026

Stoughton Library Trustees unanimously approved the public library as a secondary off-site evacuation location for a daycare on Central Street and designated Peggy Sewcyk as the official signer for library bills, with Susan Zbinski as backup. The library received $40,449.34 in state aid, bringing FY2026 total aid to $80,496.47, establishing a small rainy day fund; staff ordered replacement equipment and repositioned historical artifacts including a photograph of Wales French, the library's first librarian. The Library of Things expansion into Durable Medical Equipment is pending fire chief approval of checkout procedures with Town Counsel.

The new integrated library system is operational with ongoing debugging underway.
