STOUGHTON — Planning Board unanimously approves mixed-use development at 576 Pleasant Street. Chair Daniel Kelly and the five-member board approved a special permit and site plan for Corvo Companies to build a 3-story, 52,515-square-foot building with 43 apartments and 1,220 square feet of retail space in the General Business district. Members Rich Terry and Peter Murphy opposed the application, though both acknowledged it met the statutory criteria for social and economic needs, traffic safety, utilities adequacy, neighborhood character, environmental impacts, and fiscal effect.
The board found the project would generate tax revenue, require no changes to school enrollment, and include stormwater management and landscaping to protect adjacent residential uses.
