Stoughton Planning Board approved a landscape company building while tackling illegal clear cutting. The board unanimously approved a 9,745 square foot office and storage building for Exterior Scape Services at 1823 Washington Street, including a digital sign permit. The board found that property owner Charles Dow cleared 350 to 450 trees from Turnpike Street without required permits and ordered a $100,000 restoration plan.
Abutter Howard Meiselman testified the applicant misrepresented the work, damaged adjacent condo property, and prompted police calls. Two other projects — a Subway restaurant and Day Spring Chapel — were continued to June 25.
