Stoughton School Committee · Meeting of August 18, 2026

Stoughton School Committee approved a high school cell phone restriction policy and named its new elementary school Cedar Hill South. The cell phone policy, passed 4-1 with Karen Powers dissenting, requires students to restrict device access throughout the school day using the Doorman app at a cost of $5 per student annually. The new school name also drew one dissenting vote from Dr.

Charlene Hollins. The committee unanimously approved a revised Wellness Policy and approved the FY28 Budget Calendar 4-0-1, with Powers abstaining on the latter. Superintendent Juliette A Miller oversaw approvals for fee waivers for youth sports and community events, a materials donation worth $8,409.71, and scholarships.
