Select Board approves liquor license change, continues hotel license hearing.

STOUGHTON — Select Board approves liquor license change and utility pole petition. The board unanimously cleared Famous Bob's Liquors, Inc. d/b/a Bob's Famous Foodmart & Discount Liquors at 289 Park Street to install Gautam Patel as manager with a 60 percent stock purchase, while continuing the Hampton Inn's Common Victualler License application to April 14 pending license verification and consultation with Town Manager Thomas Calter. The board also unanimously approved a joint National Grid and Verizon New England pole petition for Prospect Street with Department of Public Works and Engineering Department safeguards.

Town Manager Calter reported the police station feasibility study showed demolition and new construction would cost $55,000,000 and renovation $45,000,000, and announced the VNA enterprise fund has been dissolved and merged into the Stoughton Public Health Collaborative, producing a $400,000 savings.
