Select Board approves water bond and block party event

STOUGHTON — Select Board unanimously authorizes $1.3M water bond. The Board voted 5-0 to approve issuance of a ten-year, interest-free Massachusetts Water Resources Authority bond for $1,289,000, with repayment beginning May 15, 2027, Vice Chair Debra Roberts moving the motion. In related business, the Board unanimously nominated Ellen Lash to continue serving the Old Colony Elderly Services Board, granted a Class II License to Black and White Auto, LLC for office use at 2 Canton Street, and approved a "Bloom Stoughton" block party June 13 from noon to 6 p.m. on Wyman Street and at the Train Depot Community Center, featuring plantings that will be distributed townwide.
