Stoughton Select Board approves conditional settlement with Stoughton Media Access Corporation. The Board voted unanimously to approve a new Access Agreement and Settlement Agreement, closing a federal lawsuit and a dispute spanning multiple public hearings, contingent on SMAC's execution of both documents by March 31, 2026. Chair Stephen M.
Cavey broke a 4-1 tie on the Settlement Agreement vote; all other motions passed unanimously. SMAC President Bob Mullen and Chair Cavey both issued statements emphasizing five months of good-faith negotiation and shared commitment to community benefit and institutional transparency.
