SEOC approves January minutes, maps expansion and partnership strategy.

Stoughton Equal Opportunity Committee · Meeting of February 4, 2026

STOUGHTON — Equal Opportunity Committee approves January minutes, maps expansion timeline. Chair Debra Roberts outlined Article 46 implementation, with committee advertising opening for four school committee-appointed seats beginning in May and appointments in June. The committee discussed renaming the "Transition Circle" initiative to remove negative connotations and deferred decisions on Porchfest jurisdiction after town counsel advised organizing festivals exceeds committee authority.

The February meeting also reviewed the MLK event, which attracted 379 attendees and will be held at the library going forward, and previewed a May 4 partnership event with State Treasurer Debra Goldberg focused on small business support and equity requirements.
