Stoughton Disabilities Commission reviewed ongoing accessibility improvements and planning. Chair Charlotte Mullen convened the body with Vice Chair Anne Maderer and Member Michael Hardman present; the commission discussed the Massachusetts Office of Disabilities' extended deadline for digital accessibility compliance, now April 2028. An MOD grant-funded Council on Aging building project involving patio, door access, and bathroom modifications is due by June 30, 2026.
The commission proposed targeted surveys to assess disability needs among seniors, special education families, and veterans, and discussed a fall home safety workshop with Council on Aging Director Janiece Bruce. Member Hardman raised accessibility concerns for a proposed Freeman Street fire station.
