Stoughton School Committee approves capital articles, three field trips, and school calendar draft

Stoughton School Committee unanimously approved fiscal year 2027 capital articles with one exception and adopted the 2026-2027 school calendar. Ms. Karen Powers voted against the capital articles motion, while all other votes passed unanimously, including approval of three bundled field trips for high school and middle school students and authorization for Superintendent Dr.
Joseph Baeta to conduct community outreach on a proposed homework policy revision. Superintendent Elect Juliette Miller presented updates to Stoughton High School's Program of Studies for 2026-2027, which includes new courses in health careers, medical terminology, and theatrical directing and design.
