Stoughton School Committee creates policy and budgeting subcommittees

Stoughton School Committee unanimously creates two subcommittees to streamline governance. The four-member board present voted 4-0 to establish a policy subcommittee and a budgeting subcommittee, consolidating committee work and improving efficiency. On the same agenda, the committee approved Policy IHBB: Middle School Pathway Exploration, designed to ensure equitable access for all middle school students to career technical education programs at Stoughton High School, Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School, and Norfolk County Agricultural High School.

Committee members received presentations on the E.A. Jones Early Childhood Center, which enrolls 120 students ages 3 to 5, and a Student Opportunity Act implementation update from Assistant Superintendent Jonathan D. Ford on expanded supports for English Learners and students with disabilities.
