Stoughton School Committee unanimously ratifies teachers contract and approves field trip. The committee voted 5-0 to ratify a three-year Stoughton Teachers Association Unit A contract for FY2027-2029 and approved a four-student HOSA trip to the International Leadership Conference in Indianapolis, June 17-21, 2026, with per-student costs ranging from $2,643 to $2,834. Ms.
Chris Shannon was re-elected chair 4-1, and Ms. Jillian Distefano was elected vice chair 4-1. The committee heard a Youth Health Survey presentation showing substance use declining at Stoughton High but physical fighting among middle-school students up to 19.2 percent in 2026 from 14.6 percent in 2019.
The committee also unanimously approved an MIAA waiver allowing 10 eighth-graders from O'Donnell Middle School to participate in SHS JV baseball.
