Board endorses cancellation of Flock camera contract
Select Board · Meeting of September 8, 2026
Stoughton Select Board gets an earful over the town manager's early contract extension. More than a dozen residents, including former Finance Committee chair Barbara Ann Savino, accused the board of extending Town Manager Tom Coulter's contract in a July 14 executive session without public notice, warning a failed buyout could cost "over a million dollars" versus roughly $300,000 for one year. Speakers including Jason Dino and Michael O'Fleur called for reinstating Police Chief Donna McNamara, sidelined amid an Ed Davis Group investigation.
Vice Chair Debra Roberts presided for an absent Chair Joseph M. Mokrisky and member Scott Carrara. The board separately voted unanimously to endorse Acting Police Chief James O'Connor's September 4 cancellation of the department's Flock Safety license-plate-reader contract, and to name the library's community meeting room for the late Sharon M.
Cohen Fratkin.
