Stoughton Select Board Votes 3-0 to Enter Executive Session on Personnel Talks

Stoughton Select Board skips all public business and adjourns into executive session. The board convened on July 23 for under five minutes before voting 3-0 to enter closed session pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30A, Section 21, Paragraph A-2, to conduct a strategy session in preparation for negotiations with non-union personnel. The chair, joined by members identified only as Scott and Lori, made no public comment on the identity of the employee or position under negotiation.

Town legal counsel was present in a separate room to advise the board. The board adjourned directly from executive session without returning to open session.
