Select Board · Meeting of October 13, 2026

STOUGHTON — The Stoughton Select Board tabled a vote on revised financial policies and procedures, sending the issue to its next meeting after a dispute with the Finance Committee and School Committee over school budget timing. Acting Town Manager Mark Tisdale and a staff member identified as Finance Director Heidi presented legal and staff comments on the policy; member Stephen Cavey asked, "Can we take a consensus to table this and put it on our next select board meeting?" The board also voted unanimously to grant Champions Indoor Golf a waiver from the town's on-site food requirement, with representative Jordan Rose citing an estimated 15 jobs the planned Washington Street business would create. In appointments, Fred Minsker was chosen over Sharon Coney for the Commission on Disabilities, 3-1, while Christopher Bossy was named unanimously to the MWRA Advisory Board.
